For choir, orchestra, piano, Harp, soprano and mezzo soprano soloists and a male Iranian traditional singer, (Farsi singing). A 107 minutes oratorio in 8 parts setting to music the story of the “Ashura”. It incorporates 9 of the original and among the oldest melodies from this ceremony and marks the first ever work of this kind in the 1400 years of the Islamic culture. premiered for 5 nights in the Vahdat Opera House by joint collaboration of the Tehran symphony orchestra and choir with the instrumentalists and singers of the Oltenia Philharmonic (Romania).
